Non-Invasive Skin Tightening

Forma

InMode Forma is an advanced, non-surgical skin tightening treatment that uses radiofrequency (RF) energy to improve skin firmness, texture and contour. Often referred to as a “no-needle facelift”, Forma is designed to deliver natural-looking tightening by gently heating the deeper layers of the skin to stimulate collagen and elastin production – the key proteins responsible for youthful, plump, resilient skin.

Forma is a popular choice for patients wanting a refreshed, more lifted appearance without surgery, downtime or discomfort. Treatments are safe, controlled and comfortable, with patients often describing the sensation as a warm facial massage.

In addition to improving the appearance of ageing skin, Forma is also widely used as part of a post-operative recovery plan, as it may assist with skin firmness, tissue quality and overall contour refinement following certain plastic surgery procedures (where appropriate and cleared by your surgeon).

How does it work?

Forma uses bipolar radiofrequency technology combined with real-time temperature monitoring to create a controlled thermal effect within the dermis (the collagen-rich layer beneath the surface of the skin).

As the skin is heated, Forma triggers:

  • Collagen remodelling (tightening existing collagen fibres)
  • Neocollagenesis (stimulating new collagen production)
  • Improved elastin production
  • Increased circulation and lymphatic drainage
  • Smoother skin texture and refined pore appearance

What makes Forma different from basic RF facials is its built-in temperature sensor, which ensures the skin is maintained within the optimal therapeutic range – meaning results are consistent, safe and effective, with minimal risk.

Your Treatment Journey

Your Forma Facial journey begins with a personalised consultation where your clinician assesses your skin concerns, areas of laxity and overall goals to tailor the treatment specifically to you. During the facial, gentle radiofrequency energy is delivered to warm the deeper layers of the skin, stimulating collagen and elastin for firmer, smoother and more lifted-looking skin – all while feeling like a relaxing warm massage. For optimal results, most patients achieve best outcomes with a course of 6–8 sessions, performed weekly or fortnightly depending on the area and your individual skin needs. You may notice an immediate glow and subtle tightening after each session, with progressive improvement as collagen continues to rebuild over time.

To maintain long-term results, maintenance treatments are typically recommended every 2–3 months, or as advised by your clinician as part of your ongoing skin health plan.

Frequently Asked Questions

We regularly get asked about our procedures, so we have put together a couple of questions we get asked on a regular basis. If there is something else you would like to know, please get in touch!

Yes. InMode Forma is considered a safe, non-invasive radiofrequency treatment when performed by a trained clinician. The device includes real-time temperature monitoring, which helps maintain the skin at a controlled therapeutic temperature for consistent results and safety.

Forma does not break the skin, does not use needles, and is generally well tolerated with minimal side effects.

Forma is one of the most comfortable skin tightening treatments available. Most patients describe it as:

  • Warm

  • Relaxing

  • Like a hot stone massage

No numbing is required.

No downtime is expected. You may experience:

  • Mild redness

  • Warmth in the area

These effects typically resolve within 30–60 minutes, and you can return immediately to work, exercise, makeup and normal activities.

Forma may not be suitable for everyone. You may not be a candidate if you have:

  • Pacemaker or implanted defibrillator

  • Certain electronic or metal implants in the treatment area

  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding (treatment is generally deferred)

  • Active infection, cold sores, or open wounds in the area

  • Certain unmanaged medical conditions (your clinician will screen thoroughly)

If you have a history of:

  • autoimmune skin conditions

  • keloid scarring

  • impaired wound healing
please inform your clinician during your consultation.
