Cosmetic Treatment

Cosmetic Enhancements

In line with the latest TGA guidelines, we are unable to display specific cosmetic treatments and pricing information. Although you may not see detailed listings, our range of treatments and services remains unchanged, continuously incorporating the latest market innovations. We understand this change may lead to questions, and to provide the best guidance, we recommend booking a consultation with one of our experienced nurses or doctors. During your consultation, we can discuss your specific needs, present before-and-after examples, and suggest the most suitable treatments tailored exclusively for you.

Who cosmetic enhancements are best for
  • Sculpting and lifting the midface
  • Defining the chin and jawlines
  • Reducing tear trough hollows
  • Restoring cheek volume
  • Softening nasolabial folds and marionette lines
  • Volumising the lips and adding shape
Frequently Asked Questions

We regularly get asked about our procedures, so we have put together a couple of questions we get asked on a regular basis. If there is something else you would like to know, please get in touch!

Some products last 4-6 months, while other can last 12 – 18 months once injected.

As always, there is risk involved with every treatment. At One Cosmetic we like our patients to be aware of risks and be well educated on the treatments they are undergoing. The risks associated with lip filler treatments are:

  • Vascular injury. This occurs when filler is injected into or around an artery, causing blood flow to be reduced or stop. Skin may look pale (blanched) and start to turn blue over a period of 24 hours. This is usually painful and, if untreated, the skin may start to ‘die’ and turn black.
  • Blindness
  • Stroke
  • Bruising, swelling at the site of injection
  • Filler migration
  • Skin discolouration
  • Bacterial infection
  • Viral infection
  • Ulceration of the skin where you were injected
  • Lumps (nodules) forming under the skin
  • Allergic reaction
  • Permanent disfigurement and scarring
  • Haematoma (a collection of blood under the skin or in the deeper tissues)
  • Weakness of the muscles of the face, head and neck, which can have undesirable effects on swallowing, vocal cord function and eye movements (double vision)
  • inflammatory reactions – especially associated with unregistered dermal filler products which may require surgery to remove.

You cannot receive dermal filler treatment if you are breastfeeding, pregnant, or under the age of 18. Individuals with a history of anaphylaxis, multiple severe allergies, or an allergy to gram-positive bacterial proteins should avoid these injections. Clients taking aspirin, clopidogrel, dipyridamole, warfarin, or non-steroidal analgesics like ibuprofen have an increased risk of bruising. Those on immunosuppressive therapy face a higher risk of infection from injections and should proceed with caution.

It is important to inform the consulting practitioner of your full medical history. Individuals with a history of cold sores may experience a recurrence after treatment, but this can be minimised with antiviral medications.

Immediately after your dermal filler treatment, you may experience:

  • Swelling
  • Bruising
  • Red needle puncture marks
  • Asymmetry
  • Tenderness
  • Itching in the treated area

These are common and should resolve within a few days to weeks. The final results will be visible around 4-6 weeks post-treatment, at which point your doctor can assess whether further treatments are needed.

Immediate Aftercare:

  • Your face will be cleaned immediately after the injections. Avoid touching your face for six hours. After that, you can clean your skin with water and a gentle cleanser.
  • Please avoid makeup on the day of the procedure.
  • Intense heat (e.g., solarium or sauna)
  • Pressure on treated areas for the first few nights (try to sleep on your back)
  • Strenuous exercise for 24 hours
  • Alcohol for 24 hours
  • AHA, Retinols/Vitamin C therapy, or oil-based makeup for 24 hours
  • Facials, facial waxing, Glycolic or AHA peels, IPL or energy-based treatments, and microdermabrasion for two weeks after treatment (consult your physician before undergoing other facial treatments during this time)
