Cheek Volume

When the face is aging, one of the first areas to show the loss of volume associated, is the cheeks. Most beautiful faces have high cheekbones and this is an area where this look can be achieved by our highly skilled team. Filling the cheek area with dermal filler is an effective treatment with minimal downtime.

The aim of cheek filler is to provide volume and lift to cheekbones for patients who have low or subtle cheekbones. The added filler creates the effect of more prominent and striking cheekbones which are viewed as attractive features. Sharper cheekbones often result in a more youthful face as the nasolabial nose to mouth) lines are smoothed which can provide a lifting effect to the face. The added benefit of the dermal filler is that it will hydrate and smooth fine lines to the skin above.

Whenever you have any type of cosmetic treatment, you want to choose a clinic that is experienced and regulated by the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) to ensure you are getting a procedure that is safe, tried and tested. 

What is involved?

The treatment involves thoroughly cleaning the area first. A topical anesthetic will be first applied for your comfort. The treating doctor or nurse will then do a series of injections into the area using our bespoke technique which means we inject the fillers in a way to enhance your natural features. You will then be explained the aftercare.

Your filler appointment will take about 45 minutes from start to finish. As soon as the series of injections is completed, you can go back to your regular activities. 

At One Cosmetic, we use only the most advanced range of Hyaluronic acid dermal fillers that are available in the Australian market. These products also contain lidocaine, which means that the treated areas are numbed simultaneously during treatment, improving the overall treatment experience for the patient. Your injector will then gently massage the fillers to soften the product.

Katie is our beautiful clinic coordinator at OC and one of the first faces you’ll see when you walk through the doors or call our team. She has several years of experience in a customer service role and brings a wealth of knowledge in managing patients and understands what it takes to support our patients through their cosmetic journeys.

Katie is passionate about skin and skin health, which is so important when patents are seeking advice on where to start. Katie has also recently been through the surgery process herself, so she can give first hand experience when it comes to any surgery related questions.

After completing her diploma in beauty therapy at the Australasian natural therapies in 2011, Lacey was quickly identified as an emerging talent due to her meticulous attention to detail and offering a uniquely holistic and personalised approach to beauty and Wellness.

Dr. Louis Wessels

Dr Wessels is a cosmetic, plastic and reconstructive surgeon and is a senior lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences of Macquarie University.

His practice covers the whole range of procedures in cosmetic, plastic and reconstructive surgery with special emphasis on cosmetic and reconstructive surgery of the breast (augmentation, reduction and breast lift) as well as facial cosmetic and reconstructive surgery.

Dr Wessels received his MBChB in South Africa, completing his internship and general surgery residency, training in one of the most challenging clinical environments, before completing his Fellowship and his Master of Medicine in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.

Dr Wessels successfully completed his second Fellowship in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery when he was awarded a Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2015. He has published world leading research on breast implant infection and outcomes following breast augmentation surgery.
