How does it work?

AviClear uses the power of light to target acne at the source. This laser treatment uses a 1726-nm wavelength to selectively target and down regulate the sebaceous glands. The overproduction of sebum by the sebaceous glands is one of the leading causes of acne.

 

The AviClear treatment protocols recommend three, 30-minute treatment sessions spaced one month apart to achieve optimal results.

Treatment Options

The Signature AviClear treatment involves a series of three sessions, each spaced four weeks apart. To achieve the best results, patients need to commit to the full course and adhere to the scheduled appointments.

Most patients choose the deluxe AviClear treatment package, as it offers comprehensive support throughout the AviClear process. This package is specifically designed to help manage the initial purging phase, reducing active breakouts effectively.

The treatment protocol is as follows:

  • Day 15: Custom Laser Genesis + blue light treatment
  • Day 30: Standard AviClear treatment

The platinum AviClear sees clients go from serve active acne breakouts, right through to clear, scar free skin. We all know active acne breakouts commonly leave behind scarring, which can be stubborn to remove. In clinic, we have invest in gold standard technology to reduce the visible signs of scarring.

The treatment package is inclusive of:

  • 3 x AviClear treatments
  • 3 x Laser genesis & blue LED treatments to manage the purging stage associated with AviClear
  • 3 x scar reduction treatments which includes: C02, IPL and Rejuran scar therapy

AviClear is suitable for all skin types and ages. This laser acne treatment effectively addresses mild, moderate, and severe acne, including inflammatory acne.

The laser treatment for the face takes around 30-50 minutes. Before starting, your skin will be thoroughly cleansed. Thanks to the laser’s sapphire cooling tip, the treatment remains comfortable, with most patients rating it about 3-4 out of 10 on the pain scale and describing a mild pinprick sensation on the skin.

After treatment, mild redness may occasionally occur but usually subsides quickly, typically within 24 hours, with minimal to no downtime.

We recommend shaving any facial hair before your appointment. No specific aftercare is needed aside from avoiding sun exposure for the first week following the procedure. This includes using SPF 30 or higher and practicing safe sun habits.

Dr Negin Sedaghat FRACS leads the breast care program after breast implant surgery at One Cosmetic, an essential component of maintaining breast health.

Dr Sedaghat is an Australian-trained Specialist General Surgeon with subspecialisation in Breast Surgery and Breast Surgical Oncology. She is BreastSurgANZ certified in breast surgery and awarded professional certification with distinction in oncoplastic breast surgery from the University of Sydney.

Dr Sedaghat combines her highly qualified and experienced surgical expertise with a compassionate and holistic approach to patient care. Dr. Louis Wessels

Dr. Louis Wessels is a highly qualified specialist plastic, cosmetic, and reconstructive surgeon with a particular focus on breast and body surgery, including liposuction.

 

His practice encompasses the full spectrum of cosmetic and reconstructive procedures, with special expertise in breast surgery. These include primary and revision breast augmentation, breast reduction, breast lift, and tuberous breast reconstruction, as well as body contouring procedures such as abdominoplasty (tummy tuck) and liposuction.

 

Dr. Wessels completed his medical degree (MBChB) in South Africa, followed by internship and general surgery training in one of the most demanding clinical environments. He subsequently completed both his Fellowship and Master of Medicine in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in South Africa, gaining extensive experience across complex reconstructive and cosmetic procedures.

 

He later completed a second Fellowship in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in Sydney, Australia, and was awarded Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) in 2015. Dr. Wessels has published internationally recognised research on breast implant infection and outcomes following breast augmentation surgery.

 

He subsequently graduated from Macquarie University in the inaugural intake of the Master of Advanced Surgery (Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery), for which he was awarded a scholarship from Johnson & Johnson.

 

Committed to excellence and innovation, Dr. Wessels regularly attends international conferences and professional development seminars to remain at the forefront of evidence-based practice and advanced surgical techniques. He is the founder and lead surgeon at One Cosmetic.
